Cotillion Records issues Woodstock, the wildly popular three disc souvenir of the August 1969 Woodstock Music & Arts festival. Jimi's "Purple Haze" and "Star Spangled Banner" rank at the top of the many album and film's highlights.

The Woodstock album is released to coincide with the Memorial Day long weekend debut of the Woodstock film. The hugely popular three-LP collection enters the Billboard charts at #4 before climbing to the #1 spot for a period of four weeks.
