While booked to appear as the headline act at the Isle Of Wight festival on August 30, a string of stage and production delays over the course of the three day festival kept the Experience from taking the stage until the early morning hours of the following day. Later that morning, as dawn broke on the small island, the Experience and their road crew flew to Stockholm, Sweden.

With little time to recuperate from their performance earlier that morning, the group gathered at Tivoli Gardens and performed their second concert in less than twenty four hours. Stockholm had embraced Jimi early in his career and his return engagement was highly anticipated.

On this day, Jimi was also interviewed by Klas Burling for Swedish radio and Olle Jonsson [Aftonbladet, published September 1].
