This special edition is dedicated to the life of Jimi Hendrix. Recognized as one of the most influential guitarists of the 21st Century, Hendrix's unique and creative approach to developing new and previously unexplored sounds continues to astonish both musicians and guitar enthusiasts the world over.

November 27, 2002 marked Jimi Hendrix' 60th birthday. In celebration of that milestone, Experience Hendrix and Seattle's Experience Music Project joined together to host a very special gala event to honor the late guitarist. In front of a packed house, members of the original Band Of Gypsys, Earth Wind & Fire, Eric Gales, Kenny Olson, Indigenous, and the legendary Buddy Guy came together for an unforgettable evening of music and memories. For the hundreds of fans who were unable to attend the event due to capacity restrictions and the millions of fans around the world who could not travel to Seattle, we present this very special indepth report of the evening event.
