According to Arthur Lee, Love's irrepressible guiding light, Jimi recorded "Everlasting First" and a version of his own "Ezy Ryder" during the course of one March 1970 session in London. "Everlasting First"--which Lee claims was written about Jimi--was first issued as part of Love's False Start in December 1970 by Blue Thumb Records.

Though long rumored, Jimi does not play on either "Ride That Vibration", "Slick Dick" or any other track from the False Start album.
