Hendrix's sole contribution was bass guitar, which he played throughout the session. Nothing became of the tapes until February 18, 1970, when Douglas returned to the Record Plant to mix excerpts from a recent Timothy Leary press conference with highlights from the September 30, 1969 jam session to create "Live And Let Live". The song would be added to Leary's YOU CAN BE ANYONE THIS TIME AROUND album issued by Douglas Records in 1970.
Because Douglas had no permissions from the respective labels to which each artist had been signed at the time of the recording, the album sleeve bore no credits for any of the participating musicians.
