ANSWER:

There are no indications that Jimi wanted to include this song as part of the double album he was crafting at the time of his death. Prior to recording new material at Electric Lady Studios, Jimi and engineer Eddie Kramer went through many of Jimi's existing multi-track recordings, setting aside those such as "Ezy Ryder", "Izabella", "Earth Blues", "Stepping Stone," and others that he wished to upgrade via overdubs. None of the recordings from the October 1968 sessions at TTG were ever revisited at Electric Lady Studios prior to Jimi's death in September 1970.

The version that was edited down and included as part of VOODOO SOUP will be issued in its original, full-length form on a future Hendrix release.
