SEATTLE, WA (September 7, 2005) - Billy Cox, bassist for both The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Band Of Gypsys will be joined by Experience Hendrix's catalog manager, John McDermott during the 90-minute radio program Rockline on September 7, 2005 (8:30pm to 10:00pm Pacific Time). This nationally syndicated program will focus on the forthcoming release of Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock [The Deluxe 2DVD Edition] and will feature an opportunity for fans to call into the program to ask either guest a question about Jimi Hendrix.

As host Bob Coburn explains, "every musician we've spoken with on Rockline has a Jimi Hendrix story. They saw him play, knew him, knew someone else who knew him, or were influenced by him. Who wasn't? Even vocalists such as the late Freddie Mercury cite Jimi as an inspiration. Anyone who has ever picked upa guitar, bass or anything musical has attempted to emulate him in some fashion."

Rockline can be heard from coast to coast on a variety of radio stations including KSAN, KGON and WKLR. For a complete list of affiliate stations carrying this program, please refer to the Rockline website.

ABOUT
JIMI HENDRIX: LIVE AT WOODSTOCK [DELUXE EDITION]

This special two-disc DVD presentation of Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock stands as the definitive record of one of Jimi's most celebrated performances. This all-new deluxe set features all of the existing film footage from Jimi's unforgettable August 1969 Woodstock concert newly re-edited and presented uninterrupted and in its original performance sequence. Live At Woodstock includes never-before-seen versions of "Foxey Lady," "Message To Love," "Hey Joe," "Spanish Castle Magic," and "Lover Man," and an all-new 5.1 and 2.0 stereo soundtrack mixed by Eddie Kramer, Jimi's original studio engineer.

Where 1994’s original VHS [and subsequent DVD] release of Hendrix’s Woodstock performance ran for only 57 minutes, Experience Hendrix has teamed with Warner Bros. to restore all of the existing film footage from Hendrix's legendary Woodstock performance. This new edition was entirely re-edited by Jere Huggins, one of the original editors of the 1970 Academy Award winning Woodstock documentary. Huggins worked extensively with Experience Hendrix's Janie Hendrix and John McDermott, as well as noted Warner Bros. film restoration specialist Bill Rush to incorporate a variety of previously unseen camera angles and coverage. Rush has been involved in the careful, critically acclaimed restoration of many classic films, including Public Enemy, Casablanca, and Out Of The Past. The result is a frame by frame digital restoration that presents Hendrix in vibrant color and detail.

Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock [The Deluxe Edition] is scheduled for release on September 13, 2005 by Experience Hendrix/UMe at a suggested retail price of $19.98. Pre-orders for this title are now being accepted by Authentic Hendrix online at www.authentichendrix.com or by calling toll-free 1-888-EXP-JIMI (or outside North America at +1-206-988-6866) and requesting item #622-002-016.
