(SEATTLE, WA - August 22, 2006) -- St. Paul, Minnesota is set to play host to
Experience Hendrix: A Tribute To Jimi Hendrix this September as part of the inaugural Wild River Music,
Comedy & Film Festival. As part of the five-day event, last year's critically acclaimed release of
Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock [Deluxe Edition] will be shown during a special Film Screening on
Friday, September 6 in the 3M Theatre at the Minnesota History Center [345 West Kellogg Boulevard,
St. Paul].
Immediately following the showing of Live At Woodstock, bassist Billy Cox and studio engineer

answer questions posed by the fans.
The newly extended Live At Woodstock film features all of existing film footage from Jimi Hendrix's
celebrated festival performance, including never-before-seen versions of "Foxey Lady," "Hey Joe" and
"Spanish Castle Magic." The set was highlighted by Hendrix's remarkable version of the
"Star Spangled Banner," which is included in the presentation and is often considered the anthem of
the Woodstock Generation.
In addition to having the opportunity to speak with Billy Cox, fans will also have the chance to see
the legendary bassist take to the stage as part of the ongoing series Experience Hendrix:
A Tribute To Jimi Hendrix. The afternoon performance - Sunday, September 10 on Harriet Island will
feature several guest joining Billy Cox
including guitar greats Chris Duarte,
Kenny Olson (ex-Kid Rock),
Vernon Reid (Living Colour),
Eric Gales,
Andy Aledort,
Bernard Allison
(son of legendary bluesman Luther Allison) plus drummer Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble) and more.
Similar to the wildly successful tribute concerts held at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Seattle's
Experience Music Project, the historic Paramount and Warfield Theatres plus music festivals like the
San Diego Street Scene, the Jimi Hendrix Tribute Concert at Wild River will be sure to keep
Minnesota's ardent music fans talking for weeks.
