On September 15th 2007, Tabor 100 will hold its annual major fundraising event called the "Captains of Industry Gala". This black tie affair promises to be a fabulous evening of cultural awareness and celebration. In addition to celebrating the accomplishments of past year's scholarship recipients, and awarding this year's scholarship recipient, a special Legend Award will be presented to Experience Hendrix LLC, the family-run company founded by the rock legend Jimi Hendrix's late father James "Al" Hendrix, and run by his sister, CEO Janie Hendrix. Janie Hendrix (a Tabor 100 Member) will be present to accept the award on behalf of Experience Hendrix.

Formed in 1998, the Tabor 100 is a non-profit business group that has grown to an influential community service group that focuses on three main objectives: Connecting minority businesses with the mainstream community, recognizing excellence with lifetime achievement awards, and supporting African American youth education. The William Bradford Scholarship is the vehicle by which this group supports the educational efforts of community youth. The goal is $250,000 to support these goals.

The "Captains Of Industry Gala" will also feature a raffle and silent auction that will include some of the following items:
